Welcome

The Middle Thames Bird Conservation Trust was set up in 2019 to support the conservation efforts of the Middle Thames Ringing Group including the activities of the Bisham Barn Owl Group (click here to see the blog ).

We manage several woodland nest box schemes on behalf of the Chiltern Society and Wycombe District Council; ringing Blue Tit, Great Tit, Marsh Tit and Nuthatch chicks.

We carry out mist-netting sessions at several sites in the area for warblers, waders and winter thrushes.

We would be interested in monitoring farmland birds in the area too, so if you are a farmer/landowner with suitable land and an interest in conservation, please get in touch.
