A new Middle Thames site

This October and November we surveyed a section of the Jubilee River with the support of the Environment Agency.

In October we caught the tail-end of autumn migration of Blackcap and Chiffchaffs. And by November, Redwings had begun to arrive. Resident species included a couple of Cetti’s Warblers, Reed Bunting and a flock of Long-tailed Tits.

For 2020 we plan to survey the site from the beginning of spring migration thru to November to see how birds use the site and in what volumes.
